References
Mc Govern Estate Agents require a positive reference from your current/previous landlord, in order to signify tenant suitability for premises. Under certain circumstances this may not be possible, and we will require a reference from an alternative source such as your employer.
First months rent in advance
The first month of rent is paid in advance along with your deposit, or upon moving into the premises (before you acquire the keys). Rent is always paid one month in advance, i.e. rent paid on 1st of January will cover from 1st January – 31st January.
We require that a standing order or direct debit is established to pay for rent on all our properties.
Deposit
A security deposit to the value of one month's rental will normally be required. The deposit is held as collateral in order to ensure that damage to the property, or any other liabilities are covered as per the terms of your tenancy agreement. The deposit cannot be used to cover rental charges, but will be refunded to the tenant upon completion of the term of tenancy, and according to the terms of the tenancy agreement.
